Local History Talk: DeLand's Citrus Packinghouses.  Between the 1890s and the 1950s, about 25 citrus packinghouses were located in DeLand and fruit was shipped from DeLand's citrus groves by freight cars, steamboats and trucks. Most of these packinghouses were spread along the railroad tracks between Spring Garden Avenue and Printery Park, which today is Painter's Pond Park.  Presented by WVHS lifetime member Ginger Johnston and Emily Kunkel, City of DeLand Historic Resource Coordinator.
